Neurosurgeon, Dr. Arno H. Fried is one of the most respected neurosurgeons in the world and has more than two decades of experience in treating both pediatric and adult neurosurgical disorders.

Dr. Fried is one of a handful of neurosurgeons in the country to be board certified in both general neurosurgery and pediatric neurosurgery. He is a nationally recognized leader and innovator in pediatric and adult neurosurgery, pediatric and adult brain tumor surgery, and epilepsy surgery.

In 2013, Dr. Fried’s pediatric neuroscience program at HUMC was ranked 25th out of 50 on the US News & World Report list for Pediatric Neuroscience, which is significant because Dr. Fried’s program was ranked higher than many facilities across the country renowned for their pediatric neuroscience programs.

Dr. Fried specializes in complex brain surgery for both children and adults. He specializes in surgery for brain tumors, epilepsy, head trauma, and hydrocephalus, with over 500 epilepsy surgery operations successfully performed. Dr. Fried and his team are skilled in treating diseases and disorders affecting the nervous system, including the spine, spinal cord, and etc.
